An Atlanta-based university is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic II to help keep one of the city’s most respected campuses running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you’ll support academic buildings, residential facilities, research spaces, and administrative offices — playing a key part in maintaining the daily operations of a large, dynamic campus environment.

Skills and Experience
We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on maintenance professional who can keep buildings operating safely and efficiently.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of general building or facility maintenance experience
- Experience performing basic plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, minor leaks)
- Ability to replace lighting, switches, outlets, and basic electrical components
- Basic HVAC knowledge (changing filters, simple troubleshooting)
- Carpentry skills (drywall patching, door and lock repair, ceiling tile replacement)
- Experience in completing preventive maintenance tasks
- Ability to use a mobile device or work order system
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing)
- Valid driver’s license (if required)
Preferred Experience:
- Apartment, hotel, hospital, or commercial building maintenance
- Experience in a large campus or multi-building environment
- Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance software
- OSHA safety knowledge
