Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components
Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, filter replacement, and inspections
Service and repair air brake systems, suspension, and steering components
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using diagnostic tools
Inspect and maintain HVAC systems used in passenger buses
Conduct DOT safety inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
Document repairs, maintenance, and parts usage accurately

Qualifications

Previous experience working on diesel engines in buses, trucks, or heavy equipment
Knowledge of air brake systems and DOT safety requirements
Experience with engine repair
Ability to use diagnostic software and mechanical tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

1+ years diesel mechanic experience (bus, truck, or heavy equipment preferred)
Knowledge of DOT safety standards
Experience with diagnostics tools and repair procedures
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Resume with relevant experience is required
3-part interview process required.
