Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy-duty Sit-down Forklift Operator to join our production team at our facility in Simpsonville, SC. This isn’t a "light box" warehouse job—you’ll be moving heavy-duty masonry products in a fast-paced, outdoor/industrial environment. What You’ll Do as a Heavy-Duty Sit-down Forklift Operator:
- Move pallets of finished cinderblocks from the production line to the storage yard and onto flatbed trailers.
- Organize stock by type and strength, ensuring the yard remains navigable and safe.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections on your lift (checking fluids, hydraulics, and tires).
- Navigate tight corners and high-traffic areas while maintaining awareness of pedestrians and machinery.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- At least 1–2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and a noisy industrial setting.
- Exceptional spatial awareness—cinderblocks are heavy and brittle; precision is key to preventing breakage and maintaining a safe work environment.
