Overview
We have partnered with the HEB Center in Cedar Park, TX, and we are looking to hire general labor personnel to join our event conversion team! Conversion Crew Members are responsible for setting up and tearing down events such as sports games, concerts, graduations, corporate functions, and private gatherings. Because this is an event-based position, schedules will vary from month to month. You’ll have the flexibility to choose your shifts in advance based on your availability. Event schedules are released ahead of time, though adjustments may occur due to the nature of live events.
Individuals will be responsible for:
- Set-up and tear-down of event related equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, booths, portable stages, basketball flooring, plexiglass walls, and support equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance related to general clean up, decorator set-up/rehearsal, and event move out.
- Follow direction and execute tasks based on the Conversion Shift Lead, the Conversion Assistant, and/or the Conversion Supervisor as necessary.
- Operate small equipment and machines such as pallet jacks, furniture dollies, etc.
Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates for this role are individuals who meet the following:
- Stand, stoop, kneel and bend for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift upwards of 50lbs individually.
- Possess a working knowledge of power tools (Drills, Drivers, etc.) and hand tools (wrenches, hammers, etc.).
- Have flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays and understand the flexibility needed for an events based schedule.
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
