What you will do as a Machine Operator:
- Set up and operate sheet metal processing equipment
- Operate roll forming machines, slitters, shear machines, and cut-to-length equipment
- Feed metal coils into forming and cutting machines
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Measure finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials
- Perform minor troubleshooting and machine adjustments
- Maintain production quotas
- Follow OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements
- Assist with stacking, banding, and staging finished materials
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior machine operation experience required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable working around sharp metal edges.
- Reliable attendance history.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for entire shift and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
