Safety, DOT Inventory Administrator

Overview

SAFETY:
 Be responsible for all DOT records, certification, training, and compliance
 Safety compliance, training, record keeping for Northside Fabrication (NSF) and
all customer facilities that we work in
 Compliance with ISNetworld (ISN) safety
 Prepare from list and perform monthly safety meeting with employees
INVENTORY:
 Bi-weekly inventory and maintain adequate levels of raw material and order as
necessary (1 st & 3 rd Monday of each month)
 Weekly maintain adequate levels for NSF fabrication supplies and order as
necessary (every Wednesday)
 Bi-weekly maintain adequate levels of NSF machine shop supplies and order as
necessary (1 st & 3 rd Monday of each month)
 Bi-weekly maintain adequate levels of burn table consumables and order as
necessary (1 st & 3 rd Monday of each month)
 Maintain adequate levels of small plasma consumables and order as necessary
 Order welding gases as necessary (weekly)
 Perform inventory on the welding gas cylinders (quarterly)
 Maintain the “NSF issued tool list to employees” (bi-weekly)
 Handle all extension cord audits, repairs and new purchases bi-weekly (1 st & 3 rd
Wednesday of each month)
 Make sure the guys have all of their safety equipment, PPE and tools
 Keep storeroom and tool crib organized
 Oversee all materials and consumables are put in their proper place each day
 Vendor quotes
SHIPPING AND RECEIVING
 Receiving of all NSF ordered materials and parts (check for discrepancies or
damaged product)
 Check that the PO is properly & completely filled out
 Shipping all necessary finished products from NSF
 Assist Mike and Brian with ordering materials for specific jobs
 Shipping, freight quotes and scheduling as needed

MISCELLANEOUS
 Handle all small tool repairs. These tools need to be gathered once a month and
taken for repairs if necessary
 Assist with answering phone, take messages and page key personnel
 Make sure new employees are given the proper PPE and NSF tools
 Truck toolboxes as needed
 Check chains on doors and signs on gates
 Reconcile time/job cards
NSF BACKUP BOOKKEEPER
Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook/E-Mail and Xerox
copy/scan/fax
 Pay all bills after they are matched with a PO requisition and approved by Mike
 Weekly payroll, payroll tax deposit and online payment
 Receive all mail and distribute accordingly
 Accounts Receivable: invoicing, customer payments and bank deposits
GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES
 Manage “Important Dates to Remember” duties
 Assist Mike as needed
 Accounting of all job cards weekly
 Short report to Mike daily: issues, progress, what you’ve worked on, etc.

Skills and Experience

Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook/E-Mail and Xerox
copy/scan/fax
