Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Flux Core Welder to join our team. This position involves heavy welding in a fast-paced production environment and requires the ability to work extended hours, including overtime. Candidates must be comfortable working 45–65 hours per week as production demands fluctuate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform flux core (FCAW) welding on structural steel and/or fabricated components
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous flux core welding experience required
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work 45–65 hours per week
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/industrial setting
- Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise
- Steel-toe boots and appropriate PPE required
