Overview
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials within the warehouse using a sit-down forklift. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety standards.
Skills and Experience
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against paperwork
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic math and inventory skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable with good attendance record
