What You’ll Do as a Welder:
As a Welder, you will use welding equipment to join metal components and fabricate finished products according to customer drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Perform welding preparation and assemble parts prior to welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
- Align and secure parts using straightedges, squares, calipers, and rulers
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG, Stick, and TIG (TIG preferred)
- Use hand and power tools common to the welding trade
- Complete inspection documentation as required
- Perform basic welding equipment maintenance as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 3–5 years of welding experience
- Current welding certification (ASME certification preferred)
- TIG welding experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Knowledge of wire/filler materials for steel, aluminum, and other alloys
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
