Overview
Position Summary:
The Dealership Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing professional front-desk support and ensuring a welcoming, organized environment. This role manages incoming calls, greets visitors, and assists sales and service departments with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and direct them to the appropriate sales, service, or finance staff
- Answer and route incoming phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner
- Schedule service appointments and update customer information in the system
- Maintain the reception area to ensure it is clean, organized, and presentable
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and dealership correspondence
- Assist with basic clerical duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and document preparation
- Support sales and service teams with customer check-in and paperwork as needed
- Monitor showroom traffic and notify staff of arriving customers
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, CRM preferred)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
