What You'll Do as a Safety Coordinator:
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs.
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Train employees on safety practices: PPE use, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and more.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure OSHA and company standards are met.
- Serve as part of the Emergency Response Team and coordinate drills.
- Promote a culture of safety through teamwork and employee engagement.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and engage employees at all levels.
- Comfortable working on the production floor with PPE and exposure to machinery.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, CSP, or CHST are a plus.
