Overview
o Apply technical expertise to all matters involved in assembly, test, and repair of RF products to include filters and printed circuit boards.
o Alignment of commercial cavity filters with network analyzers according to required specifications.
o Carry out experiments and modifications to solve compliance problems in production.
o Provide input to assembly, alignment and test documentation.
o Configure, calibrate and maintain test benches according to test plan.
o Carry out various testing and troubleshooting of RF products and circuit boards to achieve compliant performance.
o Configure and calibrate other RF test benches and carry out testing, as required. This includes network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power amplifiers and oscilloscopes.
o Carry out in-house qualification testing and supervise third party qualification testing according to Verification Plan and Verification Specification documents. This includes temperature testing, IMD, peak and average power, ingress protection, lightning protection, EMC, product safety and others.
o Assist with assembly of production and other prototype products as needed.
o Provide on-the-job training to other production operatives at the production site.
o Any other reasonable duties as assigned by Manager.
Skills and Experience
o 5+ years of hardware testing and troubleshooting experience in the RF/Microwave wireless communications field.
o Experience in lieu of qualifications may be considered.
o Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical data.
o Ability to effectively present information to colleagues.
o Good arithmetic skills - mental arithmetic and using calculators or spreadsheets.
o Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
o Ability to interpret mechanical design.
o Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics for lumped and distributed devices.
o Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
o Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
