Overview

 We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse inventory and replenishment operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for transporting incoming freight from staging areas to proper storage locations, restocking pick slots, and ensuring product quality and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will follow all safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and operational standards to help maintain an efficient workflow. 

Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport incoming freight to assigned storage locations using a forklift, hi-lift, or electric pallet jack

  • Replenish pick slots and restock inventory according to daily work orders

  • Inspect products for damage and conduct quality and temperature checks

  • Accurately place pallets in multi-level rack storage systems

  • Use RF scanners or handheld devices to enter product and location data

  • Rotate date-sensitive inventory and remove outdated products per company policy

  • Consolidate overstock items into available temporary storage locations

  • Remove and properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and packing materials

  • Perform daily safety checks on equipment and complete required inspection forms

  • Change or recharge equipment batteries as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Secure equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of each shift

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, twisting, standing, sitting, and lifting throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) required

  • 6–12 months of warehouse experience required

  • Completion of forklift and/or electric pallet jack training with certification

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting

  • Experience in a foodservice or temperature-controlled warehouse environment

  • OSHA Forklift Operator Certification preferred
