Support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting and financial operations
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP
Support accounting for grants, contracts, and donor-funded programs
Partner with program leaders and internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance
Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and audit readiness initiatives
Support process improvements and accounting system enhancements
Work in a hybrid environment with regular on-site collaboration
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with NetSuite
Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with on-site collaboration
Preferred
CPA or CPA-track
Experience in nonprofit, international, or donor-funded organizations
Experience supporting multi-entity or international operations
Familiarity with foreign currency transactions and reporting
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
