Overview
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team for a great opportunity with the potential for permanent placement. This position offers long-term stability with a company known for its strong culture and low turnover rate.
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Dress Code: Steel toe boots and jeans required
Job Summary
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, storing, and pulling merchandise and supplies to fulfill customer orders. You will also receive hands-on training to assemble and build industrial and hydraulic hoses, as well as assist customers at the retail counter with repairs and order processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and process incoming and outgoing shipments
- Move, store, and transfer materials, supplies, and merchandise throughout the warehouse
- Maintain stock in an organized fashion and ensure accurate inventory levels
- Assemble and build industrial and hydraulic hoses to required specifications and standards
- Assist customers with orders, repairs, and product recommendations
- Display merchandise and highlight features/benefits to meet customer needs
- Resolve or escalate inventory issues or customer concerns to management
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an industrial or hydraulic warehouse environment preferred
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative attitude
- High attention to detail with the ability to complete transactions accurately
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills
