Overview
Job Summary:
The Forklift/Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and loading equipment to move, load, and unload materials. This role supports daily warehouse, yard, or production operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and loading equipment to load and unload trucks
- Move, stack, and organize materials in designated areas
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety issues
- Verify materials against paperwork and ensure accurate placement
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Basic understanding of safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Forklift certification a plus (or ability to obtain)
Work Environment:
- Warehouse, yard, or industrial setting
- Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions may apply
