Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented IT Systems Administrator to ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This role is hands‑on and covers a broad range of responsibilities, from server and network administration to user support and system security. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent time‑management skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. $70,000 - 72,000 a year
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and restore system, database, and configuration backups to support daily operations.
- Administer and maintain hybrid email environments (On‑Premises and Microsoft 365), including migrations, maintenance, backups, and restores.
- Maintain and support physical and virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Install, configure, and support IT systems such as digital signage, antivirus, ticketing, and error reporting tools.
- Monitor and maintain a Tier 2 Data Center and remote office equipment.
- Provide telephone system support, including scripting and troubleshooting.
- Schedule and deploy system updates, patches, firmware upgrades, and security enhancements.
- Design, configure, and install new servers, network components (WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls), and related software.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems for branch offices and server rooms.
- Recommend and implement upgrades to improve performance and security.
- Document IT processes, policies, and security procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for supported hardware, software, and network systems.
- Collaborate with management to ensure IT operations meet business and security standards.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows Server, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID
- Scripting languages (PowerShell, Regular Expressions)
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SharePoint, SQL Express, MS Exchange
- TCP/IP, network routing/switching, firewall configuration, Wi‑Fi security (802.1x)
- Systems Center Configuration Manager, Linux, VMware, Hyper‑V
- Familiarity with electrical, digital, RF, and electronic systems a plus.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
