Overview

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment both mechanically and electrically.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Makes recommendations for improvement and solving maintenance-related problems.
• Communicate parts inventory tracking based on usage to Management.
• Ability to follow company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety practices
• Monitor machinery to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems promptly, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Responsible for all necessary reporting and required paperwork.
• Facilitate open communication between the maintenance department and other departments to ensure timely handling of all equipment problems and food safety issues.
• Perform other duties as may be required and/or assigned.
• Ordering and installing parts.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a related technical field or certificate or diploma from trade school in a related field, or three years of experience in the maintenance of industrial/food manufacturing equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer/Software Skills– SAP, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Possesses basic electrical skills
  • Familiarity with Food Manufacturing equipment
  • Solid work history and willingness to function in a team environment successfully. Must be able to communicate with various levels of personnel effectively
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing experience is ideal, as the incumbent will be troubleshooting manufacturing equipment (Toyo machine, retort, robotics, conveyors) and more
  • Physical Demands:
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs. assisted.
