Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and plant facilities. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting safe, efficient plant operations. The technician works from job instructions with supervision and assists in equipment restoration, fabrication, and machine builds as needed.
Skills and Experience
3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (or equivalent education/experience)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC troubleshooting and installation
Experience repairing and maintaining presses, cutters, winders, shears, and similar industrial equipment
Welding skills for equipment repair and part fabrication
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, motor controls, bearings, and wiring codes
Ability to operate hand and power tools; experience with CNC mills, manual lathes, and surface grinders preferred
Ability to read work orders, schematics, and maintenance manuals
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality
