Overview
The 1st Shift Office Assistant will work three days per week for 7–8 hours per day and will support daily administrative operations in the office. Responsibilities include answering phones, transferring calls, and taking accurate messages; entering production numbers and delivery details into Excel; preparing delivery tickets and ensuring all information is correct before customers sign off; and creating and maintaining both physical job files and Excel-based records. The role also involves contacting customers when projects are ready, reviewing basic drawings to verify piece counts, placing supply orders with vendors, and handling general office duties such as filing and labeling. A basic understanding of Excel is required.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in an office or administrative support role, including handling phone calls, maintaining organized records, and performing general clerical tasks. Experience using Excel for basic data entry and recordkeeping is required. Familiarity with creating or maintaining physical file systems, communicating with customers, and coordinating routine office tasks is preferred. The ability to review simple drawings or documents for accuracy is helpful but not required.
