Overview

Ōnin Staffing is currently recruiting for skilled Welders for a client in Creedmoor that manufactures and assembles utility crew trucks. This role offers steady hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to put your welding expertise to work in a hands-on environment.

Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm
Saturday's could be voluntary or mandatory based on produciton needs
$24.10-$27.66/hour depending on experience plus overtime

Position Summary:
As a Welder, you will use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to join metal components, repair fabricated products, and ensure quality standards are met.

Weld components in flat or vertical positions
Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using techniques such as MIG, TIG, flux-core, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, and resistance welding
Set up, clamp, tack-weld, grind, and bolt parts into required configurations
Ignite torches, strike arcs, and monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion
Read blueprints and use measuring devices (calipers, straightedges, templates, etc.) to ensure conformance with specifications
Inspect and test welds for defects and quality standards
Detect faulty equipment or materials and report to supervisors
Safely operate tools and equipment common to the welding trade

Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED (required and will be checked by 3rd party vendor)
Minimum 3 years of welding experience
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and use of a Pulsarc welding machine
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
AWS Certification and/or company welding certification (required)
Attention to detail, mathematical skills, and a commitment to safety

This is a physically active role in a non-climate-controlled environment. Expect exposure to hot conditions in summer, cooler conditions in winter, ladders, scaffolds, and hazardous equipment. PPE is required, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, welding helmet, gloves, and protective sleeves/jacket.
