What You’ll Do as a Corn Cook Operator:
You’ll be responsible for precisely operating and monitoring large-scale cooking equipment to prepare raw materials, ensuring product consistency and adhering strictly to safety and quality protocols.
- Operate cooking equipment, including kettles and transfer pumps.
- Monitor and review cooking instructions, ensuring precise time, temperature, and weight checks.
- Record all materials used for lot traceability and ensure ingredients are properly sealed and protected.
- Help with general equipment maintenance (tightening bolts, lubricating parts, inspecting for wear).
- Follow all safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) rules, maintaining a clean work area.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work the rotating 12-hour shift schedule in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motions.
- Comfortable handling hot cooking equipment and performing physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail for following complex written and oral instructions (time, temperature, weight).
- Prior experience with GMPs, Allergen Control, and Employee Safety is a plus.
