Production Technician

Overview

The MRO Storeroom Attendant will work under the immediate supervision of the MRO Storeroom Lead and will work with the MRO planner in various aspects of daily Storeroom operations. A successful Storeroom Attendant will develop and maintain positive customer and supplier relationships and help achieve major storeroom metrics. Must be able to communicate clearly and understand written and verbal directions.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Receiving: Unloading shipments; counting and visually inspecting packages; receiving shipment in apparent good order or annotating delivery receipt for visible damage or shortage and releasing carrier; opening packages and inspecting for concealed damage and quality; receiving materials to stock in SAP; filing packing slips, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
• Maintaining Stock in Storage: care for the material in the stockroom utilizing smart Storeroom principles; employ effective storage locator system; label bins; make maximum use of the space; protect stock against loss or damage, use common sense approaches to managing shelf-life items and ensure that all materials deemed critical for the operations are stored on the shelf as prescribed by the company.
• Issuing Stock: use the inventory issues transaction in SAP to post quantities issued from the Store Issue Slips daily.
• Perform cycle count inventories as required. This entails counting a select group of parts and comparing counts to SAP for accuracy. Completing cycle count documentation is required.
• Help maintain a neat, organized storeroom, file cabinets and racks where parts are stored.

Skills and Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift experience
Basic computer literacy (e.g., navigating software and email)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift and carry multiple packages throughout the day
Comfortable using stairs as part of daily tasks
