Overview

Operate equipment such as shears, balers, forklifts, and cranes to move or process materials.
Clean and prepare scrap metal by removing non-metal components.
Weigh, load, and unload metal materials for transport or processing.
Inspect incoming materials to identify contaminants or hazardous substances.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all safety guidelines and wear required protective gear.
Record material weights, types, and quantities for tracking and reporting.
Assist with general yard duties as needed.

Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in scrap metal recycling, warehouse, or general labor preferred.
- Ability to identify different types of metals and materials.
- Skilled in operating basic hand tools and heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
