Overview

Ōnin Staffing is currently recruiting for a Direct Hire Maintenance Technician for a client in Durham. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and oversight of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Direct hire opportunity with a reputable company
$24–$28/hour based on experience
Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
Sunday's are on-call as needed

What you'll do:

Perform preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor systems, forklifts, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems
Complete monthly and quarterly maintenance tasks (e.g., oiling conveyors, changing AC filters, greasing bearings, servicing forklifts)
Test, maintain, and repair sprinkler systems, fire pumps, alarm systems, and backflow valves
Oversee and coordinate outside contractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
Obtain bids for equipment, materials, and special projects
Troubleshoot and repair facility and equipment issues to minimize downtime

Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For:

Proven maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or facilities environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and testing devices
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
High attention to detail and commitment to safety
