Overview
Ōnin Staffing is currently recruiting for a Direct Hire Maintenance Technician for a client in Durham. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and oversight of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Direct hire opportunity with a reputable company
- $24–$28/hour based on experience
- Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
- Sunday's are on-call as needed

What you'll do:
- Perform preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor systems, forklifts, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Complete monthly and quarterly maintenance tasks (e.g., oiling conveyors, changing AC filters, greasing bearings, servicing forklifts)
- Test, maintain, and repair sprinkler systems, fire pumps, alarm systems, and backflow valves
- Oversee and coordinate outside contractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Obtain bids for equipment, materials, and special projects
- Troubleshoot and repair facility and equipment issues to minimize downtime
Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or facilities environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and testing devices
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety

- As this role is within a pharmaceutical company, candidates must have a clean background. Any criminal history beyond minor traffic violations will disqualify applicants from consideration.
