Overview
The Pressure Test & Dent Removal Associate is responsible for performing hydrostatic pressure testing and dent removal on aircraft ducting components undergoing repair or overhaul. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate and maintain shop equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests on aircraft ducting to verify integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Remove dents from aircraft ducts using approved tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
- Set up, operate, and maintain shop equipment related to testing and dent removal.
- Inspect components for defects and document findings as required.
- Work closely with technicians and supervisors to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures, repair standards, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
- Must have own hand tools required for daily tasks.
- Experience in aircraft component repair or pressure testing preferred, but not always required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
