Overview
The Material Stores Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, identifying, and organizing materials and parts to support production and inventory operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliable data entry skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify incoming parts and verify them against corresponding certifications, purchase orders, and documentation.
- Perform accurate data entry for inventory records using Outlook, Word, and internal systems.
- Organize, label, and store materials in designated locations.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding material status and discrepancies.
- Lift and move materials weighing 10–20 pounds as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or inventory preferred.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Outlook and Word; comfortable with basic data entry.
- Ability to lift 10–20 pounds regularly.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
