Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused Knife Machine Operator to produce envelope squares that meet company quality standards while maximizing production output and minimizing downtime. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflow and consistent product quality.
Skills and Experience
-Inspect work from the previous shift for quality and accuracy; report any issues to the supervisor.
-Monitor and maintain the quality of envelope squares throughout each job following company QC procedures.
-Set up knife machines for each job with minimal downtime.
-Operate machines at optimal cutting speeds to meet or exceed production targets while maintaining quality standards.
-Identify machine malfunctions, troubleshoot problems, and correct issues promptly.
-Notify supervisor when maintenance or repairs are needed beyond operator capability.
-Keep the knife machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
-Complete production paperwork accurately and pull samples as instructed.
-Communicate equipment status, job progress, and other important details between incoming and outgoing shifts.
-Perform routine maintenance on equipment as directed by the supervisor.
