Overview
Position Summary
The Account Service Representative Level 1 is responsible for supporting customers and the sales team by accurately pricing quote requests, entering and processing orders, and responding to inbound customer inquiries. This position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality service, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Communication
- Handle inbound calls and emails from customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
- Provide product information, order status updates, and general support
- Maintain a professional and customer-first approach in all interactions
Quote & Pricing Support
- Review customer quote requests and assist in preparing accurate pricing
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Production, Engineering) to confirm product details
- Ensure all pricing is aligned with company guidelines and margin expectations
Order Entry & Processing
- Process purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Verify pricing, product specifications, shipping information, and lead times
- Monitor order progress and notify customers of any changes or delays
Data & System Management
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in CRM and ERP systems
- Ensure documentation and correspondence are properly tracked and archived
- Assist in report generation or administrative tasks as needed
Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Customer service experience (phone/email-based preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or the building products industry
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM platforms
- Basic understanding of pricing, quoting, or order management processes
