The Ōnin Group is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at trusted machine shop in Fairfield, AL.
Position Details:
- 📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 💵 Starting Pay: $22/hr (higher pay based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines including lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish metal parts to precise tolerances
- Inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools
Skills and Experience
Work Experience:
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Safety-focused and reliable team player
