Overview
The Centa Packer is responsible for packaging, inspecting, and preparing finished products for shipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires consistent attention to quality and safety while handling heavy materials and operating as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack, wrap, and label finished goods according to production specifications.
- Lift and move heavy materials or products (up to 50–75 lbs) safely and efficiently.
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging.
- Operate basic packaging machinery, scales, and labeling equipment.
- Stack and organize completed boxes or pallets for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and safety standards.
- Follow production schedules and report any delays, shortages, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure production goals are met.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or packing experience a plus.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50–75 lbs) repeatedly during the shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move continuously for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of weights, measurements, and labeling.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to follow instructions and maintain safety and efficiency standards.
