MIG Welder

Overview

• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements.
• Set up welding equipment, select appropriate filler materials, and adjust settings for optimal performance.
• Fit, align, and tack-weld parts prior to final welding to ensure proper alignment and dimensions.
• Conduct visual inspections and use measuring tools to verify weld quality and part accuracy.
• Grind, polish, and finish welded assemblies as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure custom project specifications are met.
• Assist with general shop duties including material handling, assembly, and equipment maintenance as needed.
