Maintenance Mechanic

Mercedes, TX

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Repair or replace faulty components (e.g., motors, bearings, pumps, conveyors).
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Work with PLC systems, sensors, and automated machinery (depending on facility).
Maintain maintenance logs and document repairs.
Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors to improve reliability.
Follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards.

2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is common.
Technical skills: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Troubleshooting skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Tools & equipment: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.
Reading comprehension: Ability to interpret technical documentation and manuals.
Communication: Ability to clearly report issues and work with production teams.
