Overview
Responsible for managing a kitting team to meet production, quality, and safety targets. Key duties include overseeing packaging processes, managing inventory and kitting operations, ensuring quality control through documentation and corrective actions, and coordinating with labor providers and other departments to ensure efficiency and meet production schedules
Team management:
- Manage a team of employees to ensure they use machinery and equipment correctly to meet cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Quality control: - Ensure all quality documentation is accurate and maintained, identify the root cause of quality issues, and write corrective action reports when needed.
Inventory and logistics: - Manage kitting inventory, determine space requirements for storage, handle non-conforming materials, and ensure accurate inventory records.
Production and scheduling: - Coordinate with teams and the labor provider to ensure production schedules are met and provide accurate and timely information for reporting.
Safety and compliance: - Work with the labor provider and internal teams to ensure safety procedures are followed and all regulatory requirements (like FDA compliance, if applicable) are met.
Equipment maintenance: - Ensure proper maintenance of machinery by keeping accurate records and maintaining an appropriate stock of replacement parts.
Skills and Experience
- Spanish & English
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- 3-5 years of related job experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic office/operational systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
