Overview
We are seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced industrial team in DeQuincy, LA. This hands-on role is critical to keeping plant operations running smoothly. Competitive pay: $24.00 – $30.00/hour DOE and a Full benefits package!
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
- Install, align, and maintain motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, bearings, shafts, and other drivetrain components.
- Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including troubleshooting and basic PLC tasks.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Work safely at heights and in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.).
- Assist other departments as needed and support plant operations.
- Participate in training or schooling to enhance technical skills.
Skills and Experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or electrical work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings.
- Electrical schooling or apprenticeship experience preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for long periods, and climb ladders or stairways.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
