Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and reliability. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for handling materials, moving inventory, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining smooth workflow and productivity throughout the facility.
Skills and Experience
- 1 year or more of hands-on experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Skilled in operating sit-down, stand-up, clamp, and reach forklifts, as well as pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Proven ability to load and unload trailers, move pallets, and stage materials safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, order picking, and cycle counting to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, including daily equipment inspections, hazard awareness, and OSHA compliance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Experience working in fast-paced and sometimes temperature-controlled environments (cold storage, produce, or logistics centers).
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure materials are handled and documented correctly.
- Dependable and punctual with a proven record of reliable attendance and teamwork.
- Effective communication skills and a positive attitude toward safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Forklift certification is preferred, but on-site training may be available for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
