What You'll Do as a Material Handler:
- Prepare outgoing materials using various methods, including scanning, labeling, and wrapping
- Unpack and inspect goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Maintain accurate records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items
- Lift, move, and transport heavy materials safely throughout the facility
- Operate a forklift or pallet jack as needed to move materials
- Post weights and shipping charges for outgoing materials
- Use basic math skills to complete documentation and inventory tasks
- Remain on your feet for most of the shift and be available for overtime as required
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- HS diploma or GED
- Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment
- Familiarity with forklift or pallet jack operation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and labeling
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently once trained
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable lifting, standing, and moving throughout the shift
- Basic computer and scanning skills for tracking inventory and shipments
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to support production goals
