Overview
Onin Staffing is seeking skilled Welder Fabricators with experience in pressure vessel fabrication to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating components according to engineering drawings and pressure vessel codes, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
Salary: $28 - $32
Schedule: 54 Hours/Week
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:45 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel materials used in pressure vessel fabrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate and assemble pressure vessel components including shells, nozzles, heads, and supports.
- Conduct fit-up of components using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications (ASME standards where applicable).
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company safety protocols.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of welding/fabrication experience in pressure vessel or heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII standards is a strong plus.
- Must pass a weld test.
