Inside Sales Representative

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Client's team in Baton Rouge. This position plays a key role in supporting outside sales, proposal development, and customer service by managing the quoting, ordering, shipping, and invoicing process for automation systems and related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders, quotes, and change orders using the company’s ERP system.

  • Coordinate shipping, invoicing, and order tracking to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent support and follow-through.

  • Manage warranty and emergency part replacement requests through resolution.

  • Assist with proposal requests and coordinate with internal teams as needed.

  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all orders and transactions.

  • Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field

  • Experience in order entry, inside sales, or customer service

  • Familiarity with accounting processes or ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar)

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours (40 hours per week)

  • On-site position — not eligible for remote work

  • Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods (e.g., end-of-month invoicing)
