Onin Staffing is looking for a motivated and reliable Lumber Yard Assistant to join our Troutman team! This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, helping customers, and being part of a fast-paced environment.
As a Lumber Yard Assistant, you’ll assist customers, handle materials, and support general yard operations to keep everything running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Assist customers with lumber and building material needs
- Safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs throughout the day
- Answer phones and provide outstanding customer service
- Help with tool and equipment use as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area
Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, team-oriented, and flexible with hours
- Experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or material handling environment is a plus
