Overview
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Property Make Ready Technician to prepare residential or commercial properties for new tenants. This role involves performing a variety of tasks, including painting, minor repairs, installing fixtures, and general maintenance to ensure properties are clean, functional, and move-in ready. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with basic tools, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare properties for occupancy, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Install or repair door hardware, blinds, light fixtures, and other basic property fixtures.
- Perform basic carpentry, drywall patching, and other minor construction tasks as needed.
- Inspect properties for maintenance issues and report them to management.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with moving furniture or equipment as needed during property prep.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, on schedule, and meets quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a handyman role preferred.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of painting, drywall repair, and basic carpentry.
- Ability to install or repair door knobs, locks, and other basic hardware.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read work orders or simple instructions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with flooring, tiling, or other property improvements.
- Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
