Property/ Make Ready Technician

Overview

 We are seeking a reliable and versatile Property Make Ready Technician to prepare residential or commercial properties for new tenants. This role involves performing a variety of tasks, including painting, minor repairs, installing fixtures, and general maintenance to ensure properties are clean, functional, and move-in ready. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with basic tools, and able to work independently or as part of a team. 

Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare properties for occupancy, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Install or repair door hardware, blinds, light fixtures, and other basic property fixtures.
  • Perform basic carpentry, drywall patching, and other minor construction tasks as needed.
  • Inspect properties for maintenance issues and report them to management.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with moving furniture or equipment as needed during property prep.
  • Ensure work is completed efficiently, on schedule, and meets quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a handyman role preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of painting, drywall repair, and basic carpentry.
  • Ability to install or repair door knobs, locks, and other basic hardware.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read work orders or simple instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with flooring, tiling, or other property improvements.
  • Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
