What You'll Do as a CNC / Manual Machinist:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual milling machines (horizontal and vertical)
- Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Study blueprints and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
- Perform layout and prepare shop drawings
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed for quality
- Use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify product accuracy
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years CNC and manual machining experience (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Basic computer skills
- Strong focus on detail and safety
- Knowledge of metal properties
- Associate degree or relevant certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, kneel, or bend for long periods
- Work in loud environments and around industrial chemicals
- Visual acuity of 20/40 corrected or better
